Financial Planning and Wealth Management play a crucial role in the growth and development of our second most important industry; Financial Services.

 

This internationally accredited qualification ensures that financial planners and advisors understand the range of assets and investment products available in the local and international markets.

  • Overview of Financial Planning: An overview of the purpose and importance of financial planning, its key components, and the role of a financial planner.

 

  • Client Communication and Relationship Management: Skills related to effective communication, understanding clients' goals, and building strong client relationships.

 

  • Time Value of Money: Understanding the concept of present value, future value, and how money's value changes over time.

 

  • Budgeting and Cash Flow Management: Creating and managing personal and household budgets, tracking expenses, and understanding cash flow patterns.

 

  • Investment Planning: Introduction to various investment types (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, etc.), risk and return assessment, portfolio diversification, and investment strategies.

 

  • Estate Planning: Basics of creating a will, trust, and other estate planning tools, as well as addressing inheritance and estate taxes.

 

  • Risk Management and Insurance: Identifying and managing financial risks through insurance (life, health, property, etc.) and understanding insurance policies.

 

  • Debt Management: Strategies for managing and reducing debt, understanding interest rates, and making informed decisions about borrowing.

 

  • Employee Benefits Planning: Understanding employee benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, and stock options.

 

  • Ethical and Regulatory Considerations: Discussion of ethical responsibilities and regulatory requirements that financial planners must adhere to.

 

  • Life Events Planning: Addressing financial implications of major life events such as marriage, divorce, birth, death, and disability.

 

  • Case Studies and Practical Application: Analyzing real-world financial scenarios, creating comprehensive financial plans, and making informed recommendations.

 

 

Assessment

Candidates in this programme will be certified after completing a 2,000-word assignment and a 120-minute 80-multiple-choice exam. The candidate will then be issued a Certificate International Financial Planner (CIFP).

 

Program Prerequisites

 

  • Candidates must know accounting, college mathematics, economics, banking & finance, and computer skills.

  • Candidates must have at least a college degree and/or 5 years plus job experience in financial services.

  • Tuition: $4,500 plus a $50 registration fee. Payment plans are available

  • Duration: 6 months | Learning Platform: ZOOM

  • Start date: September 16th, 2023

  • Days: Saturdays

  • Times: 10 am - 12:30 pm
